First year students are given no special consideration for on-campus housing. and 44% of students lived off-campus or commuted to Savannah State University. There are 2,745 spots available in on-campus housing for all 4,645 undergraduates. In the 2022-2023 school year, 2,542 students chose to live in campus housing. First year students are allowed to park a car on campus.
